Reasons Why Your Faucet Drips

There are many different reasons why your faucet may be dripping. We have listed a few of the most common sources for a leaky faucet.

• Valve Seat
  A valve seat is the connection between the faucet and spot. Water accumulation and sediment can cause the valve seat to corrode.
• O-Ring
  The O-Ring has a stem screw used to hold the faucet in place. There is a small disc attached to the stem screw which is called the O-Ring. The O-ring will wear out over time. At Family Rooter Drain and Sewer we will replace the O-ring for you.
• Washer
  Is your leak coming from the spout of your faucet? You probably have a worn out washer. Everytime you turn off and on your faucet a washer is forced up against the valve seat. Over time the washer eventually gets worn out.
• Improper Installation of Faucet
